Updated: Nov 21, 2023

I've been posting a Friday Food on Facebook for the last 2 weeks, I realised I hadn't been including them here. Please find below the 2 Friday Foods.

Friday 10th November

Homemade Sweet Potato Treats -

These are very easy to make and you only need 1 ingredient, definitely my sort of cooking for dog treats. You can just bake or dehydrate the potatoes as a healthy treat for your dogs and they will absolutely love them. Simply slice the sweet potatoes and bake.

Sweet potato is a safe, healthy, and natural treat for dogs, offering a range of health benefits (and a sweet flavor they'll likely love). For example, sweet potatoes support a healthy digestive system thanks to their high dietary fiber content. They're also low in fat and contain essential vitamins like B6, C, and A

INGREDIENTS

SWEET POTATO

These treats can be made by either cooking at 120C or dehydrating at 60C

1.Preheat oven to 120C. Wash and dry your sweet potatoes. Thinly slice your potatoes length wise about 1/4-1/3 inch wide max, if you want to make crisps the slice width wise.

2.Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment if you have it, or place them on a wire rack. Then bake them for 3 hours in the oven, turning them over halfway through. Or pop them in the air fryer at 60C for around 6hrs, depending on how chewy or crispy and dry you want them.

3.Store them in the fridge or freezer because if you leave them out they could get moldy.

If you have any recipes you would like me to share please let me know.

Bye for now
