About

Hello, my name is Genevieve.

For more than 25 years I have worked as a research and development chef in some of the most extraordinary Michelin-starred kitchens of our time, collaborating on culinary concepts with some of the world’s most respected chefs.

This rescue journey was never planned. While working in Taiwan, I encountered a Formosan Mountain Dog named Namaya in severe distress. She was heavily pregnant, and in that moment I became her carer. Shortly after, she gave birth to nine puppies.

What began as an act of compassion quickly became a life-changing responsibility. I could not leave these innocent dogs behind, so I committed to bringing them to safety and building a future for them.

Today, we are working toward creating a forever sanctuary for the ten dogs here in the UK. It is a challenging road, and like many rescue stories, it began without preparation or a clear plan. But the goal remains simple: to keep these dogs safe, healthy, loved, and together.

We are currently based near Sandringham in Norfolk while we search for a permanent home where this sanctuary can grow.

If you have experience in animal rescue, know of land or property in Norfolk that could support a sanctuary, or would like to help in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

You can contact me through Beau’s Pawsitive Dog Training.

The Path from Survival to Sanctuary
Counting Our Blessings — The Foundation of Our Future It has been more than a year since the puppies were born, and not yet a full year since our arrival in the United Kingdom; and yet, the passage from one moment to the other has been marked by trials of no ordinary kind. When I first met Namaya in Taiwan, and assisted her in bringing life into the world, I was permitted to witness something rare and extraordinary. That moment, however, was soon overtaken by circumstances of a far more...

Grateful to the Sandringham Community for Supporting Our Rescue Journey
Today I would like to share a little more about our journey here in Sandringham. More than anything, this experience has shown us how much the support of the community truly means — not only to the dogs, but to all of us. Caring for ten young rescue dogs is, at times, overwhelming, and it is through the kindness and encouragement of those around us that we are able to continue. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a well-managed and supportive training environment at Beau’s...
